InVideo: Exploring the Magic of InVideo's Text-To-Video AI Tool
Have you ever been stuck with a pile of written content and no creativity to turn it into an engaging video? Yeah, same. That's where InVideo's Text-to-Video AI Tool comes in. As an AI tool, it can take any written content and transform it into a beautiful video with animations, images, and sounds. It's like having a magic wand that turns your written work into a visual masterpiece. Sounds interesting, right? Let’s dig into it and explore the main features of InVideo.
InVideo is an artificial intelligence-powered video editing platform. It analyzes your video content and suggests the best edits to make your video stand out. Think of it like having your own personal video editing assistant. And the best part? It's super easy to use; no technical skills are required.
InVideo’s shiniest star: AI text-to-video tool
InVideo's text-to-video AI tool has a plethora of features that can help you create videos in no time.
Ready to kickstart this? First, upload your script. The tool supports various file formats such as doc, docx, txt, and more. Then start exploring your creativity.
InVideo’s writing skills don’t stop here. Describe what you want your video to be about, and then the AI will generate a script. If you’re happy with it, you can then choose to create your video and make all the edits you want from there. Social media just got easier.
I asked InVideo’s AI tool to help me write a script about the effects AI has on people’s intelligence, and here is what I got.
From here, it creates several scenes (almost like a PowerPoint presentation, but much cooler), and then you can choose from various templates to give your video a unique look.
On my computer, it really took a while for all the video, image, and text assets to load so that I could start editing, so maybe exercise some patience when first trying out the tool, especially if you’re working with longer scripts in the free trial version.
I was working on a 17 scenes video with the AI generated script, and I must admit I found it odd that InVideo was the one who suggested such a long script in the first place. InVideo might have something to gain from optimizing the AI tool to generate shorter prompts that can be handled even with a rusty old computer.
But after the wait, magic awaits.
The text-to-video AI tool in InVideo is incredibly intuitive.
After you upload your script or let AI generate it for you, InVideo will break down the content into chunks to create a killer storyboard. Then you can play with virtually every aspect of the video, and edit the suggested images, videos, text placement, and transitions. You can also change the color palette of the template to match your brand colors.
You can then drag-and-drop elements (don’t you just love this mechanic?) into your workspace. Browse through hundreds of animations and sound effects and stylize every section of your video.
You’re working with a template, but you can definitely add your own unique touch to it and build your own little universe of creativity.
Voila! Your video is ready, and it took less than half an hour.
All the things that you actually hate doing: adding voiceovers and subtitles
InVideo's jack-of-all-trades AI tool can add voiceovers and subtitles to your videos.
Subtitles are a nice addition to videos, but they require more effort than they’re worth. They are grinding; they’re nobody’s favorite part of the job, and they demand your full attention and understanding of language. This is practically the job description for every AI platform out there. With good audio and a mainstream accent, InVideo does a good job of writing down what it hears.
Text-to-speech too, has become more sophisticated with AIs. Ten years ago, Ivona was doing what we thought was a great job of reading us PDFs while we were at the gym. It did have a tone that felt like fingernails on a chalkboard and felt through-and-through awkward. Still, that robot was our first text-to-speech love. AIs are now doing a great job of reading text out loud. They won’t do the job of a voice actor, but they understand punctuation and sound fairly human.
The text-to-speech feature supports 10 languages (English, German, Welsh, Danish Turkish, Swedish, Russian, Romanian, Portuguese, Chinese Mandarin, and Arabic) and some accent variations for English.
Over 5.000 Customizable Video Templates
Not everyone wants to start their videos from scratch. InVideo AI has a vast library of customizable templates for different kinds of projects. Create videos to match your style and aesthetic, starting with prefab layouts. They have more than 5.000 layouts, from romantic to edgy and sporty and everything in between. They’re professionally made, with great sense for design, colors, and fonts. This is not a badge I give out easily, but their templates look good. The sheer number and the options for tweaking mean your content will feel original even if you start with prefabricated elements.
InVideo’s video template gallery is constantly updated with new and improved options to help you create better, more engaging content. There’s a template for everything: explainer videos, product reviews, animated infographics, Instagram reels, and business-looking layouts with a bit of zaz. You can use the drag-and-drop video editor to customize your template of choice by adding text, your own media clips, a color palette, and fonts.
A Huge Gallery of High-Quality Audio and Video
InVideo AI offers high-quality output in audio and video formats, starting from 720p to 4K.
The tool cleans up audio, uses audio tracks, and adds sound effects to enhance your video's audio. InVideo AI ensures that your video is as polished as it can be in terms of both audio and video.
Are you one of those young people who will add GIFs and stickers to their videos? Well, hello, fellow youngsters, I am as well young. You can add premade options from their library, and also upload your own custom stickers and GIFs. This will make your videos fun and engaging, brand your content, and make You more recognizable.
One thing I love about InVideo AI is how customizable it is. You can choose from over 5.000 video templates, but nobody’s gonna know. The amount of tweaks you can do to customize it will keep your content fresh. You can change the font, color scheme, and even add your own branding to make your videos stand out from the crowd.
InVideo’s limitations
InVideo is a great tool for any creator that works with video content, for professionals that frequently use videos and presentations in their work, for teachers and trainers, and many more.
However, the harsh truth is that the quality is quite lacking if you’re using the free trial.
As I was exploring this AI tool, I experienced long waiting periods for loading elements or processing the edits I had made. Of course, my software or internet connection could have been to blame, but even with those factors taken into account, the speed did not significantly increase.
With the free trial package, you’ll only have the option to create and share a link to your video with your team. The free version doesn’t offer a video rendering or export option, which basically means that you can only see the video, but not download it.
Before you dive into editing and exploring features, make sure to consider this crucial aspect. If you don't, you may have to choose between keeping your content and paying the subscription fee.
Another aspect that might be considered a limitation is that the free version comes with a watermark on all your creations. There is also a limit of 15 minutes per video and 1 GB of cloud storage.
Final thoughts on InVideo’s features
Basically, InVideo is a tool that every video editor wishes to have had back in the days when video editing took so many hours, if not days. It elevates your videos, helps you create engaging content, and adds a little bit of personality to your work presentations for the never ending meetings.
You don’t even have to work that hard for it to have a pretty good video in the end. Using InVideo's AI tool to suggest a script and match it with a video template for your content is a lazy but effective option. In fact, you can get pretty good results without many tweaks on your end.
But if you're planning to kick things up a notch with InVideo, listen up! While the free version is all fun and games, the paid version is where all the goodies are. Unending loading times are history, and you will have access to more features. And if you are using InVideo for business, you should really step it up and upgrade your account so you have the most granular level of control over your customization options.
So, if you're ready to transform your old and dusty creative ideas that have been sitting in the back of your mind for ages into a beautiful visual masterpiece, give InVideo a try. You probably won't be disappointed.
